Reflections on WABF 2017 & Looking Ahead to WABF 2018

Reflections on WABF 2017

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the 42nd Annual Washington Antiquarian Book Fair!

2017 was an interesting year for us. We wound up shifting our dates and location, since (a) the New York Antiquarian Book Fair moved to March, and (b) our usual venue wasn’t available. In the end, it was a ton of fun nerding out in the heart of D.C., at The Sphinx Club. We drew a fantastic crowd on both Friday and Saturday - not too shabby, considering the People’s Climate March took the city by storm that weekend!

We received some terrific coverage from a number of news outlets and bloggers; you can check out some of their stories and posts here. And special thanks to our partners in antiquarian geekery: BookStore Movers, Sheir & Shim and The Side Lobby.

Looking Ahead

Did you know FOUR book fairs are scheduled for April 2018? Our friends in Richmond, St. Pete, Allentown and Ann Arbor are hosting their fabulous events throughout the month. After chatting with other Fair promoters and researching available venues, we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be returning to the Holiday Inn, Rosslyn for WABF 18 (September 28 + 29) and WABF 19 (September 27 + 28).

The Rosslyn Business District has seen a ton of growth and upgrades of late, so we’re excited to be heading back that way.
